
Act 1 Scene 1
Two Roman scene, Flavius and Murellus, begin to see the common people parading in the roads instead of working in their shops. They demand to know so why the men are certainly not working. A cobbler shows them the fact that people are celebrating Caesar's win. Murellus is infuriated at this time information, and calls the workers, " you blocks, you stones" (1. 1 . 34). He then tells them that Caesar hasn't defeated a great enemy, but instead that Ceasar has slain the sons of Pompey the Great. Pompey previously dominated Rome along with Caesar until their particular alliance fell apart, at which point they will went to battle over the right to rule. Flavius's speech in that case causes the commoners to get ashamed of honoring Caesar's success. They go in a more dry mood.
